I deserve to be happy and I experience joy in everything I do. I feel happy every day of my life. ~ Affirmation for Happiness
I do hope that this affirmation is beneficial to you and that it will assist you in bringing more joy and happiness into your life. The joy and happiness that everyone deserves.
I think the most important aspect of feeling happy is ‘to love ourselves‘. Robert Holden said that the more we love ourselves, the happier we are and I believe that this is a true statement.
Seemingly small aspects in life such as helping others, listening to beautiful music, playing sports and exercising, working in a job that fulfills you, keeping a tidy house, playing with your pet, not giving up to achieve something, all help with being happy.
Are you happy?
Do you consciously pay attention and focus on becoming happier and more joyous in your life? What do you do to make your life happier and more joyous? Take a few moments to reflect on this and see whether you can change or introduce a few aspects to your life to be as happy as you deserve to be.
We all define or experience happiness in different ways. An author will be exhilarated when selling a certain amount of books. Someone who is trying to lose weight will feel great once s/he steps onto those scales and notices they lost another kilo.
What makes you happy?
Is it: going for a walk in nature, being at the beach, reading books, catching up with friends, practicing a certain hobby, going for a road trip with your family, playing music? Write down at least 5 things; and I encourage you to aim to include these into your weekly schedule over the next two weeks.
When asking yourself this question, try to see the difference between true happiness and activities that give us short instances of pleasure. True happiness comes from within. Going shopping, spending money or eating chocolate are just a few examples of ways that we think may make us feel better but they only last a short time.
And remember, it is not about being the best at something or everything. Don’t get me wrong. It is good to strive for perfection and always try your best but it does come down to enjoying what you are doing, feeling happy and fulfilled every single little moment.
Blessings,
Edith
